LIFE Program

Learning information about Food and Exercise (LIFE) Program is a free program offered to ACHR families and the Lee county community. Lee County has a lot of gyms, trainers, and even nutrition counseling, but in most cases these cost money.  The LIFE program can help meet some of these needs for folks who don’t have the funds to purchase these services.

Our Registered Dietitian (RD)/ Certified Fitness Instructor, Natalie Stephens, can help people with nutrition related diseases (such as diabetes or heart disease) manage their diet and live healthier lives, and with weight management (for health reasons or personal reasons).

She will schedule a meeting with interested persons to discuss their nutritional and exercise needs and goals. Together they will set goals and a plan of action to help meet those goals.  She will help each participant design an attainable diet or plan specifically for his or her needs.

Participants can choose to work with the RD individually or in small groups, depending on personal preference and needs. Low impact exercise classes are available weekly during the school year. Your goal(s) may be strength building, increased endurance, weight management, improved health, or feeling more energetic.  Whatever your goal, join us for a workout to help you reach your goals!
